Final Post For 2017 (From School)

Today is the last day we get to have our Chromebooks for 2017. I have had a awesome year this year, I was in Mr Goodwin's Literacy class and Miss Parrant's class for maths.

My Highlights for this year were hanging out with my amazing teacher MISS PARRANT.

I feel like I learned a lot about the planets and Instruments this year.

Next year I am feeling excited because I can't wait to know who will be my new teacher and what will be the new theme for 2018.

This year the year 6s got to go to Kawau Island. It was a exciting trip to Kawau Island everyone had fun and we did a lot of exciting trips.

100 YEARS TIME - IN THE FUTURE

Introduction:

In 100 Years time I think that all the animals would be able to talk and that they can fly. I think that there will be flying cars and everyone got to have their own talking animal and a robot.

Paragraph 1:

In 100 years time I think that some people will be dead at some people will still be alive. I think that all the teachers that work at Pt England School will be very old. I think there would be a lot of children and kids in the future and I think that they will be annoying to everyone to.

Paragraph 2:

In 100 years I would be 110 years old I would be very old and I think that I would already dead. I think in 100 years I would have grandchildren that I never met. In 100 years I think that some people would be living on planets our in space.  

Paragraph 3:

In the future I would want to be  dead because some people would be to. In the future I would want to be the oldest person and the most healthiest` person out of my siblings.

Paragraph4:

In the future I would want the future to be very clean and very nice. In 100 years time everyone on planet earth will have to move to another planet and live there for just a little bit of time so that the people that clean everything can clean our planet earth and then everyone would live happily ever after.

Today my story is going to be all about Ghosts.

Once upon a time there was a girl that was 10 years old her name was Charlese.

Decision 1 is when she goes to sleep she can always see staff when she is sleeping.

Decision 2 would be she can always feel things crawling on my blanket. Like bugs.

My Final Decision would be she would always get scared in her sleep.

My other final Decision would be she the house that she lived in was a haunted house anyways but she didn’t know until she saw the ghosts that lived in her house.

OK on to final decision C. Final decision C would be she didn’t know anyone who lived in her neighbourhood because they didn’t even like her she didn’t go to school.

Now final decision. My final decision would be she is an ugly girl that nobody likes and she sometimes acts like a animal.

Task Description: Today our class got to make our own Pick a Path Story. For me this was a pretty cool writing.

FREE WRITING - FAT FISH / SHARK SCHOOL

Introduction:

Once there was a very fat fish. That loved to eat fish food of course, we'll going back to my story. This very fat fish was an ugly fat fish and he was a teacher at Pt England fish school. He was very mean to everyone in his class, he didn’t like anyone that went to Pt England fish school. Wait a minute I mean Pt England fat fish school because everyone that went to that school was a fat fish.

Paragraph 1:

Well this fat fish teacher his name was Mr Goodwin but everyone that went to Pt England fat fish school called him Mr Genius but there was a little girl but she is not that small, bye the way her name was Charlese and she called him by his last name Mr Goodwin. I didn’t like calling him Mr Genius because there was already a teacher that went to Pt England fat fish school called Mr Genius and that was Mr Jacobson, sometimes I call him Mr J.

Paragraph 2:  

Anyways Mr J and Mr Goodwin were very big. They were just like each other and they were very mean but Mr J was way more mean than Mr Goodwin because he would tell everyone off for doing nothing. But sometimes Mr Goodwin would just be lazy like a lazy boy and do nothing just sit on his chair and steer at everyone.

Paragraph 3:

At Pt England fat fish school everyone had their own fish robot. But everyone made their fish robot, there fish robot looked very ugly, there fish robots looked like they were about to die because the kids that went to Pt England fat fish school was treating their robots like they were a piece of trash. But the teachers fish robots were very clean because the teachers were treating them like real robots in the sea.

Paragraph 4:

Did you know that their principal was very mean because he was a shark. His name was Mr Mean Burt but sometimes he could be fun and sometimes he could be very mean. By the way all the children that went to Pt England fat fish school was mean to all the other kids and the new entrance children to.

Year 6 Camp 2017

When we went to Camp Bentzon it was so exciting that there were already people that were living there. We did a lot of activities like Confidence Course, Kayaking, Sailing, Abseiling, Orienteering , Burma Trail, Bush BaseBall, And Cricket. When we got there we had to climb up a very big hill and the hill was could the KILLER HILL. Where we went? Most of the year 6s went to kawau island. It was really fun at Camp Bentzon.

What happened first was when we got to Kawau Island we had to go up killer hill then walk all the way back down and it is really a hill but sometimes it will go very steep then it will go up then back down and sometimes it will be slippery.Getting to camp took for a very long time we had to sit inside a bus for 2 hours then get off the bus and get all of our bags and food boxes out then carry everything onto the ferry and then the last thing was that we all had to get on the ferry. The Hike was very boring and I wished that we didn’t have to do that hike ever again. We still did a Hike but we didn’t do the one where we had to walk up killer hill and then walk all the way back down we just went around the hill but we didn’t go that far.

What happened next? Was when  we all came back from our Hike that we did we had to go and do our cabins. Day 2. The 1st activity that we did was Raft building, then our next activity that we did was building huts, our 3rd activity was sailing. Then we had to go and have morning tea after our 2nd activity. After our morning tea that we had we had to move on to our next activities.

Day three was a little bit fun because our first activity that we did on day three was sailing and like I said that we were doing sailing in my last paragraph that I did. Well any ways sailing was hard and it was getting too scary for me because it was scary when the sailing boat was just about to tip over but it didn’t. Sailing was hard to do and scary I would hope that I could learn more about it so that it won’t be scary for me anymore.

I would like to thank my Uncle Sam for helping do mostly everything in our tasks, and I would like to thank another person which helped the team that I was in. the team that I was in was Kawau A but I say sometimes that I was in Kawau B and A. there is a lot of people that I would like to thank like Ms Timmi, Tia, Miss Parrant, Mr Goodwin, Mr Somerville, Shirley Penu, Lee Penu, and all the helpers that helped everyone one at camp. I would like to mostly thank Peter And Erin for letting everyone that was at Camp Bentzon to stay at Kawau Island.

What I enjoyed at camp? I enjoyed everything at camp my favourite thing that I like was swimming,  jumping off the wharf, jumping off the platform, kayaking, playing volleyball, playing spot light at night, doing activities with Mr Jacobson. Like doing the Confidence Course with Mr J and playing volleyball with him and other people and teachers like Ms Moran and Tia. I learned a lot at Camp Bentzon like at Kawau Island you only have fun and no fighting or anything and looking after your friends if they are not alright or even ask them if they are alright.

Task Description: So this week we had to right about what we did at camp well all the other year 6's were still at school.

Thank You For Our Film Festival Day

Walt: using descriptive language Dear organizers and helpers. Without you we wouldn’t be going to the film festival right now. Thank you so much for helping our school and everyone. Manaiakalani film festival is when all the schools well not all the schools but mostly all the schools that are around Glen Ines.  Manaiakalani film festival is when most of the schools make their own movie and then we go to Sylvia park with other schools and we watch our movie’s that we made at school. We watch our own movie’s and other people’s movie on a very big screen. My favourite part at the manaiakalani film festival was when i got to sit next to my friends and I got to go to sleep. My favourite movie’s where The Time Machine, The Taste Test, Just Dance, And Survivor. The just dance one was the best and I loved that one it was soo cool and funny. Next Year I would like to be in a movie and would like to be a back up presenter if the other people that were supposed to be presenting weren’t there then I could back them up and be nice to them and do the presenting for them. What did I enjoy? I enjoyed watching other schools movies watch our schools movie watching my friends present and the last thing I enjoyed was going to sleep. What I learned at the Manaiakalani was that we don’t make fun of the people that is presenting and we do not yell out BOOOO to them and there movie even if it is boring. THANK YOU AGAIN TO ALL THE ORGANIZERS AND HELPERS FOR HELPING OUR SCHOOL. Task Description: Today we all got to pick out what we would right about our options were. would we like to right about Athletics our would we like to right about Manaiakalani. I picked both but my first one that I picked was Athletics then I picked this one which was Maniakalani.

Dear helpers. Thank you so much for helping everyone on our Athletics, it is so kind that you took all your time off work or even if you don’t have work so that you could come to our school and help everyone.

Athletics was very fun. Athletics day is when everyone in our school comes together and they play sports, and they get into their house colours. Our house colours are Hokule’a which is ( Green ),  Hikianalia which is ( Yellow ), Hinemoana which is ( Blue ), And Te Aurere which is Red. I am in the year 6 Green and that colour is Hokule’a.

Next year I will be a year 7 and I hope I will be a house captain for Hokule’a. But I would still want to race with the year 7 girls and I would want to go to the Eastern tournament next year. It wouldn’t mind if I had came 3rd or 2nd but I would know that I won’t come 1st.

I enjoyed playing with my friends and having races with them. I enjoyed watching the teachers and the kids race with the teachers. What I have learned from Athletics is that it is all about having fun  and not having fights if you do not win.

Have you ever made your own music before? Well for this term, our theme is. Musical madness. Musical madness is all about making your own music and that is what we are learning about this term.

Our term theme is all about making music and making our own instruments. For team 1, all team 1 teachers had to go up the stage and perform what they were doing. The teachers from team 1 played cards and they played songs well they were playing their cards whatever song they played they would show there feelings to everybody that was inside the hall. Next up was team 2, team 2 was learning something about singing, making there own music and creating their own drums. Next up was team 3. Team 3 was doing something like karaoke but in the classroom.  Team 3 is going to be making there own music. Team 5 will be doing something the same as what team 1 was doing but not playing cards.

Finally it was team 4 turn. Team 4 topic is a fake apple music instead the teachers from team 4 did Pt England School music. Team 4 teachers were inside the vehicle and they were cruising around and listening to any sorts of music tracks like rock and roll songs.

This term I hope to learn how to play the piano, I hope we learn about it when we learn. I hope that we actually learn about every instrument that we have in our school.

What I think about the new theme is a little bit boring and a little fun but most of all it is boring.

Task Description: for this term our theme is Musical Madness. Musical Madness is all about making our own music, and making our own instruments.

What I Did On Saturday?

Hello Everybody It's Me Again what did you do for your Saturday? Well for my Saturday all I did was watch movies and had a lot of junk with my family. We had a lot of things on Saturday night we even played a lot of games to we played I spy up high then me and my nephew played an drawing competition and he won 3 rounds and I won 2. I was so happy that we could do this night like a family night we have did it a lot of times now. this time we had lollies and chocolate biscuits we had 4 packets of chips and then after all of that junk I saved me some chocolate biscuits and my little brother asked if he could have some and i said go buy your own. He tried fighting me for it. When I won he started crying but at the same time he was laughing so it wasn't really a cry.

After I had the last chocolate biscuit I had a drink of sprite but it felt like I was going to VOMIT but I didn't. I was so full after that then I just went into bed and I started to write about my HOLIDAY and what I did.

My Holiday

Kia Orana every body have you all had a good holiday? I have it was great today my dad and my brothers are going to go to the beach. this holiday has been great for me we went to the beach on Monday. after the beach we went to this Maori place where there is a lot of water. I was playing tag with my brothers it was so fun.

On Tuesday we went to the museum and we went into the volcano room in the volcano room it was so fun when the whole room was shaking around there were seats that we could sit on in stead of sitting on the ground. But there were some other little children that were sitting on the ground I wasn't the one that was sitting on the ground I was the one that was sitting on the seats.

After we went to the museum the next day we went to the pools. At the pools I saw my aunty and my cousin we had a great swim with my cousin. My cousin's name is Peter. my brothers me and my cousin were playing tag in the pool and I was hardly in because they could hardly get me but my brother could.

On Thursday me and my little brother were playing at the back of our house because there is a garden there and we play on the very big field that was there. We were playing with our next door neighbours, we played tag and ball rush but it was tackle I was the only girl that was playing and that was us.

On Friday I was just in my bed reading my book it was captain underpants. I like captain underpants because he is sort of funny. When it was time for us to go to bed we didn't because we had to go and pick up my older brother from my aunty's house.

Then today what I did was just lie in my bed and read a little bit of my captain underpants book. then after that i went outside and i played with my dog well it is not sort of a dog it is like a puppy. but my puppy barks at anyone that he sees and he doesn't know.

Alien Character Descriptions

Task Description: Today room 7 had to describe an alien and the aliens looked so ugly. but there was one that looked so cute. This alien Description was so fun I would want to do this again.

Stardome

Walt: Include a variety of sentence types in our writing.
Have you ever been to Stardome? Well on Thursday last week team 4 went to stardome. We had to get into groups I was in my cousins group and there some of our friends were in the group that we were in. Our leader was my uncle witch was her dad, we did a lot of things at stardome. Stardome is a amazing place to go.

When morning tea was over half of room 7, 6 and 8 had to grab their lunch and watch the news it was straight away and I was like what why are we all grabbing our lunch now. But then Mr Goodwin said we won’t be taking our bags and I was like ohhh so that's why we're having our lunch now. The news was finally finished and we all got to play on our Chromebooks I played typing club. It was time to go and we all had to get into our lines and our groups that we were in. when we were on the bus we were all falling asleep but I wasn’t I was wide awake.

After we got off the bus we had to sit on the wet grass and I was getting a wet bum. There were a lot of astronauts inside the spaceship. They looked so cool they looked like they were real but they weren't. When we went into this room on the wall there was all the planets in our solar system. We got this paper and it had questions on them. We had 15 minutes to answer them we had to get into our groups in my group we were versing the boys. After the 15 minutes we had we had to go back inside the room that we first were in.

On our way to the dome my group had to line up and be able to get the points when we come back from stardome. It was so fun inside the dome because we got to watch a movie and I started to fall asleep when the movie was finished that was the end of the stardome trip. During the movie I fall asleep and the other kids next to me kept on waking me up. It was so annoying I felt like I just wanted to stay there because my seat was just too nice.

At stardome I learned that solar means energy from the sun’s rays. I also sore matariki inside stardome and they way better then how I see them right now they looked so cool and they looked like they were real like if they were out of the screen that they were in. stardome was pretty cool I wish that we could go there probably every Thursdays or every year.

Task Description:I am doing this writing for our test next term this is could stardome. Stardome was our trip last week Thursday. team 4 went to stardome so that we could learn more about our solar system.

Cross Country

Walt: structure a recount. 

Last week Friday Pt England school had cross country. Cross country is like a fit thing when there are children that race each other but they are in a different color. There are different colors in cross country. There 4 in our school, our colors are yellow, blue, green, and the last color that we have is red.

Before the year 6 girls raced me and my friends played games and we just started talking and stuff. After we were talking and playing games it was nearly our turn to race. Before the happened all of my friends were just talking all about what we are going to do when the race is finished and if we are going to race together. But we couldn’t I just remembered because I was the only year 6 in our little circle that we made. All my friends that I was sitting next to they were all year 5 that was why I couldn’t run with them.

During the race I was running with Naomi. I was only jogging and she was sprinting. But then we split up and she sprinted off and I was still jogging when I got up to trendy that was when I started to slow down because I was so tired of running. But I didn’t walk the whole way I only started running when I got up to Whea Kelly and that was when I never stopped running until I got to the finish line and that was when I started walking.

After the race I was so tired that I didn’t even want to walk anymore. When I past the finish line my legs were so numb and it felt like I couldn’t feel my legs because they were numb. After the race I was so thirsty that I had 2 cups of water. That was how thirsty I was.

What I learned was that I could run properly. I new how to race and I did not be mean to anyone. What I would differently do next time is I would try my best at racing and I will not make any bad comments to anybody that is way at the back of me.

Task Description: This is an cross country writing about our cross country that we had last week friday. it was a very sunny day when we had cross country. cross country is a running thing when kids would have to run and try and beat the other kids it was so fun.

Space Narrative

 










In 4017 the earth will be struggling to do its best and stay alive.  It was a cold night there was a dog his name was robo dog. Robo Dog and his friend had to go on a very big mission. Robo dog knows everything that his friend knows his friends name is Charlese. He and Charlese were going to take out the aliens in the planet of animal town.


These Aliens are very CRAZY! They would do anything they want to. And they will go and destroy everything in the animal town. Robo Dog and Charlese were inside their spaceship. Robo Dog had turned on the spaceship then they started to blast off. When they did they blasted in the right planet. Then they grabbed all there weapons that they were going to use on the ALIENS.


First Robo Dog had to build a shield and defend themselves. Charlese and Robo Dog had to go on a exploring mission they had to go and defend the Animal town. The ALIENS were just about to defend the alien planet but then they got caught bye Robo Dog and Charlese. Robo Dog Had Activated and let out talking dog Robo dog had said  ‘hey what are you doing to this animal town’. They said ‘ we are destroying this town so that we have to worry about  this town any more.


Robo Dog said to the ALIENS ‘this is not very nice to destroy the town’ the aliens did not care so then Robo Dog had to destroy them and he did then they had never come back. The aliens had promised that they never come back.


I will live on this planet so that the aliens will never come back. And if they do they will get hurt again. When it was time to go to bed RObo Dog had turned into a nice warm bed. Then Charlese laid down and she went to sleep well all the animals were eating.

I believe that my kayak would be liked by my mum and dad and my older sister who would want to get into kayaking. This Slalom K1 kayak is really interesting and could be used at anytime and anyplace.

Minty Chocolate With A Bit Of Oreo This chocolate is very nice I would have it every day for dinner. The Chocolate mint is part of the cad bury.  My Chocolate Mint I had cost $3.99. Chocolate Mint had little bits of Oreo's inside of it. It had a lot of mint inside the mint. Mint Chocolate looked a bit greeny on the inside. It tasted very yummy. The mint chocolate smelt like it was very minty and I just really wanted to staff it inside my mouth. When I put the minty chocolate inside my mouth it felt like it was melting inside my mouth. But really it wasn’t. When it was in my mouth I thought that it was just going to stay there but then I started to eat it inside my mouth. I think that the product had to have more mint and more chocolate inside it. But I would still prefer the mint. Plus it was still nice. I would recommend this product because it is very yummy and I just have to say it was one of my best chocolate. I would have to rate this a 10/10. Task Description: Have You Ever had chocolate at school when you are not men to? While today Room 7 ate chocolate and we got numbers so that when Or teacher Mr Goodwin Calls our number out we no what our number is. For me I got the minty chocolate it was so yummy is was like i wanted anther on.

Homemade Ice-Cream

As I walked into room 7 I saw some ingredient, and I wondered what Mrs Stickland Was up to. When we sat on our chairs Mrs Stickland Said that we were going make ice cream. I was so excited that we were going to make Homemade Ice Cream. I loved making ice cream, Ice Cream is one of my favorite dessert.

Mrs Stickland Told us to get into pears. I got into pears with my cousin Paikea. Paikea and I were having fun being partners. Mrs Stickland Gave me and Paikea instructions to do. She gave me and Paikea ingredients. The ingredients was milk, sugar, food coloring, ice. It was really fun making ice cream.

Task Description: Today my class room witch is rm 7 had a cool day today. we got to do another write set instruction. It is really fun doing things like this, because i love to make stuff.

Once there was a man that was stranded on and island. This man was very scared. He could not go anywhere he had to stay in on island where there was nobody there and no food or music. There was nothing that was at the island but him. There was no food for him and no fresh water. He was all alone on the island.

The man that was stuck on the island was very hungry he only could eat the fish that was in the water. If he wanted to have a drink he had to drink out of the water. But instead he didn’t. He didn’t drink water at all. He was getting angry that he had to eat fish at all times.
The food that the man had to eat was fish. It was always fish. He had nothing to eat but fish. He tried to find other food through the trees but he couldn’t. He was crying because all he had to eat was fish.  
The man that was on the island had written a signal on the beach. The signal that was on the beach said a big HELP. He had written the signal all by himself. But it took him like 4 hours to write a big HELP.

There was a helicopter flying past him. There were some people that had seen the big HELP signal. So they stopped then they went down to the island. Then they went to the man that was on the island and they rescued him. He was so happy and proud that they had found him.
Task Description: Today room 7 had a fun and exciting writing to do. We where writing about the movie castaway. there was a man that was stranded on an island. He had written a signal and on that signal it said a big Help. it was fun writing the story.
