De-Extinction Is Not Worth While

Walt: Express an opinion on a topic.

Have you ever thought of bringing back extinct species? 

Introduction: Well, This week we have been learning about Extinct species and De-extinct species, Even scientists are trying to bring back extinct species because they think that it is a good Idea to bring extinct species back.

Paragraph 1:Animal Welfare 

I think it is not a good Idea to bring back extinct species because if scientists actually do bring back extinct animals they might bring back the disease that we have already gotten rid of. I don’t think it is worthwhile because a lot of people are probably scared of the extinct species and if they hear that the scientists are bringing the extinct species they might get worried and then start to get really scared.   

Paragraph 2:Health

I don’t think bringing back extinct animals because if the scientist do bring the extinct species back then everyone might get sick and then our health will get worse and then we all might die and the animals might take over.

Paragraph 3: Environment

If we bring back extinct species our environment might end up rotten or very dirty because the species that the scientists brought back. Also if the scientists did bring back extinct species it will put everyone at risk because they might end up distorting the environment.

Conclusion: 

Extinct species would be cool to bring back but it wouldn’t be cool because they might bring bad things back to our planet, Well we have already gotten rid of.

Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg is an amazing 16 year old which  is already making a change with her life, every Friday she skips school just to do a strike. She is a very loving and caring person, she has also helped others and she doesn't just think about herself. Greta Thunberg is a brave girl she has also inspired a lot of children.

Dear Ms Tapuke

My name is Charlese and I am  Cook Island and Maori. At 10 years old, I am the 2nd youngest of seven children. My brothers and sisters are Grace, Gerico, Elizabeth, Wakatere, Charles, Charlese, And Teokatai.

I love playing sports with my family and friends. I also love play Netball, Rippa Rugby, And Rugby.

My favourite subjects are Maths and Writing. I really like working in groups when I learn and use my Chromebook. I don’t like sitting at home and doing nothing because it’s boring and I have nothing to do.

I am really happy to be in room 2 for 2018 and do a lot of learning.

I am feeling so happy to see what I can learn and I am looking forward to learning somethings new.

Space Narrative

 










In 4017 the earth will be struggling to do its best and stay alive.  It was a cold night there was a dog his name was robo dog. Robo Dog and his friend had to go on a very big mission. Robo dog knows everything that his friend knows his friends name is Charlese. He and Charlese were going to take out the aliens in the planet of animal town.


These Aliens are very CRAZY! They would do anything they want to. And they will go and destroy everything in the animal town. Robo Dog and Charlese were inside their spaceship. Robo Dog had turned on the spaceship then they started to blast off. When they did they blasted in the right planet. Then they grabbed all there weapons that they were going to use on the ALIENS.


First Robo Dog had to build a shield and defend themselves. Charlese and Robo Dog had to go on a exploring mission they had to go and defend the Animal town. The ALIENS were just about to defend the alien planet but then they got caught bye Robo Dog and Charlese. Robo Dog Had Activated and let out talking dog Robo dog had said  ‘hey what are you doing to this animal town’. They said ‘ we are destroying this town so that we have to worry about  this town any more.


Robo Dog said to the ALIENS ‘this is not very nice to destroy the town’ the aliens did not care so then Robo Dog had to destroy them and he did then they had never come back. The aliens had promised that they never come back.


I will live on this planet so that the aliens will never come back. And if they do they will get hurt again. When it was time to go to bed RObo Dog had turned into a nice warm bed. Then Charlese laid down and she went to sleep well all the animals were eating.

Minty Chocolate With A Bit Of Oreo This chocolate is very nice I would have it every day for dinner. The Chocolate mint is part of the cad bury.  My Chocolate Mint I had cost $3.99. Chocolate Mint had little bits of Oreo's inside of it. It had a lot of mint inside the mint. Mint Chocolate looked a bit greeny on the inside. It tasted very yummy. The mint chocolate smelt like it was very minty and I just really wanted to staff it inside my mouth. When I put the minty chocolate inside my mouth it felt like it was melting inside my mouth. But really it wasn’t. When it was in my mouth I thought that it was just going to stay there but then I started to eat it inside my mouth. I think that the product had to have more mint and more chocolate inside it. But I would still prefer the mint. Plus it was still nice. I would recommend this product because it is very yummy and I just have to say it was one of my best chocolate. I would have to rate this a 10/10. Task Description: Have You Ever had chocolate at school when you are not men to? While today Room 7 ate chocolate and we got numbers so that when Or teacher Mr Goodwin Calls our number out we no what our number is. For me I got the minty chocolate it was so yummy is was like i wanted anther on.

Homemade Ice-Cream

As I walked into room 7 I saw some ingredient, and I wondered what Mrs Stickland Was up to. When we sat on our chairs Mrs Stickland Said that we were going make ice cream. I was so excited that we were going to make Homemade Ice Cream. I loved making ice cream, Ice Cream is one of my favorite dessert.

Mrs Stickland Told us to get into pears. I got into pears with my cousin Paikea. Paikea and I were having fun being partners. Mrs Stickland Gave me and Paikea instructions to do. She gave me and Paikea ingredients. The ingredients was milk, sugar, food coloring, ice. It was really fun making ice cream.

Task Description: Today my class room witch is rm 7 had a cool day today. we got to do another write set instruction. It is really fun doing things like this, because i love to make stuff.

Castaway Template

Walt: Write from the 1st person.

Once there was a man that was stranded on and island. This man was very scared. He could not go anywhere he had to stay in on island where there was nobody there and no food or music. There was nothing that was at the island but him. There was no food for him and no fresh water. He was all alone on the island.

The man that was stuck on the island was very hungry he only could eat the fish that was in the water. If he wanted to have a drink he had to drink out of the water. But instead he didn’t. He didn’t drink water at all. He was getting angry that he had to eat fish at all times.
The food that the man had to eat was fish. It was always fish. He had nothing to eat but fish. He tried to find other food through the trees but he couldn’t. He was crying because all he had to eat was fish.  
The man that was on the island had written a signal on the beach. The signal that was on the beach said a big HELP. He had written the signal all by himself. But it took him like 4 hours to write a big HELP.

There was a helicopter flying past him. There were some people that had seen the big HELP signal. So they stopped then they went down to the island. Then they went to the man that was on the island and they rescued him. He was so happy and proud that they had found him.
Task Description: Today room 7 had a fun and exciting writing to do. We where writing about the movie castaway. there was a man that was stranded on an island. He had written a signal and on that signal it said a big Help. it was fun writing the story.

Spider Black Cat Vs Giant Beetle

Walt: Write A Narrative

One Sunny beautiful day there was an insect named Giant Beetle. There was a Spider named Spider Black Cat. On  a Sunny day Giant Beetle was taking a walk on the trees then Spider Black Cat Came over and said hay Giant Beetle what are you doing over here. Giant Beetle said i’m just taking a walk what are you doing over here. Spider Black Cat said i’m just here just to see if you were alright. Giant Beetle said i am alright.

Once Giant Beetle turned around Spider Black Cat Pushed Giant Beetle off the tree and then he started to cry because he didn’t do anything to Spider Black Cat and he just pushed him off the tree.

Spider Black Cat went away and he didn’t care he didn’t do anything when he pushed him off. When Giant Beetle got back up he got very angry at Spider Black Cat.

When Spider Black Cat came back to the tree Giant Beetle was still there. They were going to have a fight but then Spider Black Cat said no wait i’m sorry for pushing you off the tree and I will never do it to you again. Giant Beetle accepted the apology. Then they started to walk back to their home and they had a cup of tea then they went to sleep.

Camp

Camp Writing

Walt: We Are learning how to write about camp.
Have you ever been on camp before at the back on your school field before? Well at Pt England School there is going to be a year 5 and 6 camp starting on the 8th to the 10th of March.

I am looking forward to going to camp and having a lot of fun with my friends and having fun with my cousin and that I get the moves of my dance right.

I am hoping that when I go to camp that I have a happy 3 days at camp and that there will be no fighting or arguing. I just hoped that the camp would keep going on and it never stops. But now it has to stop so that kids could go home.

I am very nervous about going to camp and then something will happen to me. I am also nervous about dancing on the stage and then I get some of the moves wrong. And the  last thing that I am nervous about is that I might not  be listening to the teacher and then I get all the moves wrong when I get onto the stage.  

Task Description: Today Room 7 was learning how to to write abut what they are going to do at camp. and what there emotions are when they go off to camp.

Native Birds in Tamaki

Have you seen a Tui in your backyard? Well if I would be able to see one in my backyard I might tell everyone that there is a Tui in my backyard.  

I think Tamaki would need more tui because I am seck of having seagulls around tamaki. There is way too much around tamaki so we should be having way more tui then the seagulls and the pigeons.

I think we should be having more kiwi because we hardly had kiwis around tāmaki. We don’t have any kiwi around tāmaki. I think that we only have 1 kiwi at the zoo. And not in tamaki.

Pigeons are so annoying, so I think that we should get rid of all the seagulls and have more tui and kiwi around tāmaki. I think My favourite two native birds is kiwi and tui. The bird that I do not like which is non - native and hate this bird. It is a pigeon, I hate this bird because it always does anything it wants to do like poop on someone and it comes into anyone's house or a classroom and it is very annoying.

Task Description: Today Room 7 is writing about Native Birds and why we should be having more kiwi and tui.

The Race

WALT: We are learning to write a recount.

Introduction

Have you ever had a teacher that would make you have to run on the field before. Well I have. Today room 7 had to line up and put our shoes on.

The first thing we had to do was Mr Goodwin told us to go outside when I thought that he was going to tell us to open up our chrome book and tell us to get on with our work. But instead he just told us to line up outside and put our shoes on.

Once we got on to the field Mr Goodwin told us the insertions and said go line up in front of the gold post, So we said what he told us to do and listened to his insertions.

When we lined up Mr Goodwin said that we were going to have a race I was so gutted when he said that, but I was still sort of excited but then he finally said Go!

I sprinted as fast as I could and we ran to the gold post and back to Mr Goodwin. But when we ran to the gold post I came 3rd and I just kept on running back and everyone was at the back of me. When I got back I was so puffed out that I had to Run that fast And I was So excited that I came 3rd but it was sort of boring to.

Then we came back to class and started to write about our race to the gold post and to another.

Task Description: Today room 7 had to write a recount about our race that we did.

Holes

Tuesday the 21st of September Rm 10 from Pt England has been reading and watching this cool movie and it is my best movie. It is called HOLES. Holes is a movie about a boy name Stanley Yelnats. Do you get it his last name is spelt the same as his first name. and there is some other boys but there are a lot and they do have wired names. Like Armpet, Zero, Riki, Theodore, ZigZag, Magnet, and Squid.



And that was the End of all the names but there is a lot more.
